Disabling Diseases & Injuries
What Disability Do You Suffer From?
tephen H. Hagler LLC, represents people who suffer from all types of disabling diseases and injuries. Regardless of your disability, if it prevents you from earning an income, we can help. Attorney Hagler has been serving residents of Georgia and South Carolina since 1991.
What disabling diseases and injuries qualify for benefits?
The Social Security administration has compiled a listing of impairments that includes 14 different categories of disabilities. If your disabling disease or injury falls into one of the 14 categories, you may be eligible for Social Security disability insurance (SSDI) or supplemental security income (SSI).
However, just because your disability doesn’t conveniently meet the listing doesn’t mean that you are not eligible for benefits. Eligibility isn’t based solely on the disability. Your work history and education may affect whether or not you get benefits. The Social Security office will want to know whether there are other careers that a person can pursue, careers that may not be impacted by the person’s disability. Our role is to put together a clear picture for the Social Security office that describes why you cannot work at your job or any other job because of your disability.
We represent people who suffer from all types of disabilities, including:
- Spinal cord & back injuries
- Arthritis
- Asthma
- Mental disorders
- Depression
- Fibromyalgia
- Diabetes
- Head injuries
- Sleeping disorders
- Lupus
- Cancer
No charge unless we get results
All cases involving disabling diseases and injuries are handled on a contingency basis, which means we don’t charge unless we get results. If we are successful, we will only ask for a percentage of the past due benefits you are entitled to. This percentage is set and capped by statute.
